Bios Megafauna went to the
printers, sporting my painting as well as my logo on the cover:

Some recent
work I've done for Phil Eklund's Sierra Madre Games company's
new game, BIOS: Megafauna, the upcoming revision of the classic
American Megafauna. Some location artwork for the game
board and the logo and graphic design for the cover (sadly, my
painting didn't make the cover, though I might post my proposed
art here.) I will also be helping with some of the other
art as needed, though Phil does most of his own graphics.
This is the first in a new branding of his games, and
Megafauna will be followed by a prequel game, BIOS: Genesis,
which I will also have a hand in bringing to fruition.
Hopefully down the line we can get other classics back in print
(Origins, Insecta, etc.)

The
standee sign I did for the Boston Maritime Museum a while back
got budgeted into a placard-type sign, too bad. Here is
the new version. These are rules for a play ship with working
rigging. I did this at the request of maritime author
James L. Nelson. It was great fun to be able to work on
something related to my love of tall ships. |

Prototyping
continues for a few of my games. Pictured here is the
as-yet-unthemed base board for one of the TWO time travel games
I am working on. The spaces on the board will represent
different areas and the rows will represent the same areas
through time. Players will vie for domination in the
present by manipulating the past, or by engaging in direct
conflict anywhere along the line. Tentatively titled Time,
Space, & Bullets, but since my other time travel game has an
adventure theme I am considering making this more funky, giving
it a lightly comedic theme.
Early versions of the rules
created catastrophic waves of fiddliness downstream, so was
backburnered for a less abstracted game.

Cardback
image, sample card front (from one of the decks) and some tiles
from a print and play game contest entry I worked on recently on
boardgamegeek.com.
The game's entry can be found
here.
More details to come.
